EXPO CHICAGO is proud to present Marc Foxx as an exhibiting gallery from Los Angeles for our September debut. Marc Foxx presents two incredible solo shows by Roger Hiorns and Luisa Lambri, on view through August 4, 2012.

In the main gallery, Marc Foxx features a solo show, To what degree are we alive, by Roger Hiorns. A British artist born in Birmingham, Hiorns was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2009. Hiorns is known for creating sculptures and installations out of found materials, such as foam, fire and crystals.
Roger Hiorns’ most recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Aspen Art Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Tate Turner Prize exhibition in London. Recent group exhibition include The Sculpture Show at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh, September 11 at MoMA PS1 in New York and Diystopia at the CAPC Musée d’art Contemporain de Bordeaux.

In the west gallery, Marc Foxx presents a new exhibition of work by Italian-born, Los Angeles-based artist Luisa Lambri.
Luisa Lambri was an Artist-in-Residence was in 2008 at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and has returned three times to photograph the museum during different periods of the year. The result is a series of intimate portraits of the museum as light, space and memory.
Luisa Lambri’s most recent solo exhibitions include Portrait at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and Being There at the Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. She has participated in both the 1999 and 2003 Venice Biennials.
Lambri will have a solo exhibition in the main gallery of Marc Foxx this fall.
