On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, the inaugural EXPO CHICAGO debuted its exclusive opening night celebration, Vernissage. Guests experienced a first look at artworks presented by over 100 leading international and contemporary art galleries.
For many years, Vernissage was the highlight of the city’s social and cultural calendar. This special preview event returned once more, benefiting the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Co-chaired by Jennifer Aubrey and Marilyn Fields, Vernissage offered first viewing of the works, as well as the opportunity to meet members of the international art and design communities. Vernissage was made possible with support from the MCA Trustees and the MCA Women’s Board.
Vernissage was truly a memorable evening and an incredible way to launch the fair.
