Experienced British filmmaker Emily Wardill is in the middle of a solo exhibition at The Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) of St. Louis. Beginning on September 9 and carrying through the end of the year, Wardill’s presentation features her 2007 film Sick Serena and Wreck and Wreck, in which costumed performers appear in theatrical situations that evoke the stained glass windows of Gothic cathedrals that also exemplifies a contradictorily contemporary in their mannerisms. Wardill has also successfully exhibited at the de Appel (Amsterdam), the Venice Biennale (Venice) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (Miami).
Also running through the end of the year at The CAM is the first American solo exhibition by London-based Australian visual artist David Noonan. For more information on Wardill, Noonan and other happenings at The CAM, visit their website.
