Jeanne Gang is the founder and principal of Chicago’s own Studio Gang Architects and a 2011 MacArthur Fellow. Gang is one of 22 fellows handpicked from across the world, and one of four architects awarded since the establishment of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in 1981.

Jeanne Gang has built a distinguished reputation as one of the world’s finest and most progressive architects. Her most highly acclaimed project, Aqua—an 82-story mixed use Chicago skyscraper—won the Emporis Skyscraper Award in 2009, and shortlisted in 2010 for the International Highrise Award. Other works by Gang include the Media Production Center for Columbia College (Chicago), Northerly Island Framework Plan (Chicago), Vancouver Pair (Vancouver), Blue Wall Center (Greenville, S.C.) and Hyperbad Tellapur 02 (Hyperbad, India).

We are proud that Jeanne Gang will join EXPO CHICAGO to design the interior environment at Navy Pier for our September 2012 debut. We are excited to collaborate with such an innovative designer. Gang and her team will take on the ambitious challenge to transform the entire experience of attending an art fair from the moment you enter Navy Pier’s Festival Hall to navigating the fair’s booths.
